In Room 7 we have been using Padlet as a whole class to contribute to what we already know about celebrations. Here are all the things that Room 7 know already. WOW! Aren't they bright children! The children really enjoyed using Padlet today and learning how to add text. as well as images to the class paddlet.

Kia Orana- All about the Cook Islands.

On Monday the 1st of August Room 7 and Room 4 had Tuakana Teina Day. For Tuakana Teinda day because it was Cook Island Language week we worked together without buddies from Room 4 to create a presentation All about the Cook Islands. We had so much fun creating these books.

Learning about inferencing in reading

Here is Sahil's work on inferencing. We have been learning how to use our inferencing skills to get a better understanding of what the author is trying to imply.

Super Hero Poems

    In room 7 for writing we have been learning how to write a Diamante Super Hero poem. We chose a Super Hero that we wanted to write our poem about. We then had to think about powerful adjectives that described our Super Hero's as well as using language features like nouns to enhance our poems so that it would appeal to the audience and paint a picture in their minds.
