Drink Driving and Peace by Mavis

In class throughout the week we wrote poems and created raps. As a group we made a rap called "If You Drink And Drive" a topic given to us by our teacher but influenced by the truth of the reckless results of drinking and driving.
Drink and Driving.
If you drink and drive you might as well die,
Cause you can’t hide from the truth and build on the lies
Cause your test will decide weather drinking was yo CRIME.
Now you're feeling pretty pitty laying cold in a hospital bed
Busted car, busted head
You had a friend but now he’s DEAD

Get this message through your head:
DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!

For my individual poem I wrote the poem below

NONE OF THE POEM BELOW WAS COPIED JUST CREATED AND INSPIRED BY MY OWN THOUGHTS AND DEEP REFLECTIONS.

PEACE

In the breezes of the street
defining the term free
It’ll come to be
what we want is peace

In the path of the sun

lays what’s done.

The past’s craft

the futures draft.

While the blood is red

with the war creating dead.

people losing their heads

cannot rest on their beds.

Enjoy the hours,
the sun setting with the flowers.
As rain pours down
creating showers.

Fall and Die

leaving someone to cry
death never lies
so no one denies
don’t fear death
fear being alive.
but peace is what we realise

What is mine
will define.
That I want peace
sprouting between the trees.

Misimoa's Attempt at Rhyming

Misimoa

I run like the wind at every game I win.
When I kick the ball it fly’s into the air,
when I come back down I look like Chase blair.

Mate Ma’a Tonga and Toa samoa are hungry for some moa.
Be scared because we own a chicken store.
I’m the new samoan thor
I’ll take down your front door
There’s gonna be war.
You're gonna hear me roar.
There’s a new law
Bump off’s and fights,
You’ll be out the door,
I’m one of  Fantastic 4,
who does not snore.

One day I’ll play for samoa,
and you’ll be in the crowd cheering “Misimoa.”
I’ll be under the goal post getting a big score.

I’m not a simile because it’s just me,
I’m flash like Bolt fending off trouble going to achieve my goal.
That’s my future, I don’t wanna be a tutor and the names not Misi it’s Freddie Kruger.
Don’t call me a loser because I got all the fame.

you should be ashamed because your skills are lame.

LIFE BY LUA

Life?

We were all given it for a reason.
To live or to die? or just live your life like a lie.
At points you can be sad or others even more bad.
You have family that care,
Friends that are rare
So live your life and ignore all this strife.
You’ve been through alot
So leave this all behind
And take control of what's going through your mind
For I am too kind.
To commit any sort of crime.
Life could be hard sometimes.

So be yourself because an original is worth more than a copy.
I say, Live life to the fullest.

Friendship Til The End of Time by Deandra

Our inquiry topic this term is about Rhythm, Rap and Rhyme - Creating Peaceful Times. This week we are required to write a poem related to the topic about peace. I have decided to write my poem about peaceful friendships. This is my own original ideas and I'm very proud of the poem I have written. Enjoy reading my craft.

Friendship, bent and twisted to create the forming sources of love and care,
That of course is what all friends share,
Competitive behaviour, secrets, and scandals,
Cause chaos between two bountiful friendly souls, and twist their emotional handles,

False Love, Guys, and money,
Play with the friendship of many who find their life within friendship as sweet as honey,
Tolerance, Peace, and Empathy is important to those who are not vulnerable but approachable,

Today friends all over the world whether black, white, tan or brown have been known to watch each others backs,
To help their friends in their needing of times when they are too busy building up their stacks,

Nobody, not a single soul would leave a good friend to fend for themselves in the battle against people and the cruel world,
But for those to just throw away that precious friendship into the trash,

Well they certainly will have no one to turn to in their need of help or comfort when their life ends with a flash,
Remember your friend is like your sister or brother and you will do anything to make sure they are in safe hands even if you have to break their fragile trust.

Halloween by Mavis

Ola! For writing this week me and other students my years had to write a narrative as practise for our assessment next week. I,along with other students discovered we all shared a desire to write a narrative based on the theme horror. Here is my story.
WARNING
IF YOU DO NOT ENJOY HEARING ABOUT GUTS OR REALLY SQUEAMISH THEN PLEASE DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER.
IF YOU LOVE GUTS AND EXPLODING BODY PARTS...DO CONTINUE.

Two girls fell into the depths of the dark water that lay waiting in the centre of the coal mine. Then as the eclipse dawned on the water. Two girls emerged...re-born.

Crawling out of her split open stomach, invading the ebony ground, gorged out poison infected by blood and spewing with maggots. They dig deeper into her flesh biting harder into the bone. Guts trickle out of the corner of her sewn mouth. Her chest wide open infused by the anguish of her revolting and grotesque death is pounding with dead centipedes flinching and crippling with vomit. She dips her finger into her chest and shoves it into the space big enough to fit it. She smears it around the inside of her mouth enjoying the taste.

She drives herself deeper into the heart of the coal mine vomiting and groaning.
“Muere’s here  Muere is starving”
Screams ripped through the coal, sending ancient bone rattling around the tunnels. Her eyes flicked around. Foot steps stumbled forward. Haunting screams of pain, disdain and disgust ruptured her decaying ears. Into the mouth of a girl. Digging deeper into her flesh, thirsty for more lay an Asesino Bug (killer bug) it lept up further and further. Tripping over exploded intestines, shrivelling kidneys, drained livers and a cracking heart the bug fell into the eye socket shoving the eyeball out as it made itself more visible to the dying eye as a bug drenched with blood.

Another child ran forward unaware of the dangers that would befall him. He yelped as he came upon the bodies.
“Oh mother of satan”
The two girls latched onto his scent chasing him through the tunnels wondering why their prey was running. Denahi threw his backpack down onto the ground he cried out
“Somebody help me!Please!”

At the tunnels up ahead he saw one of the tunnels were pitch black while the other was illuminated by the glory of light. It filtered through the tunnel and bursting with happiness. Autumn leaves lay crinkled down the path. Sounds of the wind running past the cracks whispered into his ears. Pulling him closer to the exit, closer to dreams. He slithered into the tunnel, the two girl were following behind him unaware that their hideous mutations were fading..fading into the dark.

He clambered up the whole he found up ahead he. Thinking he escaped horror he started slipping to a slower climbing pace. He felt something scratching at his legs. Finally that something had a grip on his leg. He turned down to find Muere and Ariana-Blue grinning foolishly. He heaved himself to the top  finally he felt the hard skin start to soften under the daylight. He turned around to see the girls that went missing 5 years ago at the age of 10. They were his sisters. They grinned from ear to ear and sighed in unison
“We do belong here”
Muere stated
"People called my Muere so I got a liking to it and adapted to it oh but seriously guys my name Nina"

Glossary
Muere - Death
Asesino - Killer
Ariana Blue & Nina my own characters
